The Interface series depicts the webpage interface displaying artifacts on museum websites worldwide. The artist meticulously uses ink painting to portray details such as the navigation bar, labels, text descriptions, and images of the artifacts, emphasizing the standardization and homogeneity of the digital world. One is left to reflect on the regulation and control behind cultural exchanges.
Travelers in a Wintry Forest depicts a scene on the uneven rocky bank of a stream beneath towering mountains. Two ancient pines stretch skyward, their twisted branches covered by a delicate layer of snow. A solitary figure rides a donkey, flanked by two child servants who accompany him from behind and ahead. The aged pines are intricately detailed with powerful strokes that employ both outlining and texturing techniques. The mountain rocks are textured only on their sides, while the tops are left unpainted and subtly rendered with white to create a snow-covered appearance. The painting exudes a somber atmosphere, inviting viewers into a profound and mysterious realm.
